Talya

My work explores the intersection of mind-body wellness, consciousness, and personal growth. Through guided imagery, Qigong, breathwork, and meditation, I offer a space where people can reconnect with themselves, learn how to navigate stress more effectively, discover new perspectives, and access insights and possibilities beyond their usual ways of thinking.

I am particularly interested in how these practices can help us respond to life's challenges with greater clarity and intention, while bringing more awareness to how we live, work, and lead.

Like many people, I have navigated my own share of life's challenges. These experiences have given me a firsthand appreciation for the toll that stress and adversity can take on our health, as well as the value of finding ways to reconnect with ourselves, access and further develop our inner resources. They have shaped my understanding of the importance of cultivating a loving, and stable space within us and developing a deeper connection with ourselves.

Before entering the mind-body wellness field, I spent 10 years as a magazine editor in New York City and 6 years working as a content consultant and art director in the fast-paced technology industry. Having experienced the demands of these professional environments firsthand, I understand how easily we can become disconnected from ourselves amid the pressures and demands of everyday life. My background informs my interest in helping bridge the worlds of mind-body wellness and the workplace. I am interested in how these practices can support individuals and organizations in cultivating greater awareness, resilience, and more conscious and creative ways of working and leading.

My interest in meditation and mind-body practices began more than 20 years ago and has continued to deepen through study and practice. My professional training includes certification as an Advanced Imagery Guide for Mind–Body Communication through the Academy for Guided Imagery and as a Bu Zheng Qigong instructor through the Institute of Integral Qigong & Tai Chi. I have also completed Harvard University's Mind–Body Medicine Program, studied Qigong, Neidan, and Xiang Fa with Master Zhongxian Wu, Thomas Droge, and Dr. Roger Jahnke, and apprenticed in Psychophysical Somatic Imagery with Miri Harari.

Today, I facilitate individual sessions for adults and children, as well as group practices, both in person and online. In all of my work, I aim to create a supportive space for exploration, self-discovery, and a deeper connection with one's own inner wisdom.

I live with my family in Evanston, Illinois.
